Strategic Emergency

Preparedness and Recovery

EMHF supports a wide range of initiatives including:

  • Business Continuity Planning
  • Emergency Preparedness and Response Training
  • Evacuation and Reunification Assistance
  • Crisis Communication Systems
  • Strategic Recovery and Resilience Programs

The National Disaster Recovery Framework (NDRF) emphasizes that recovery is not a linear process—it requires coordinated planning, adaptability, and collaboration across federal, state, and local levels. EMHF aligns with this framework to ensure our programs contribute to long-term, sustainable recovery.

EMHF’s mission is to ensure that medically under-served populations and under-resourced communities are ready to plan, prepare, respond, and recover from natural disasters, crises, and public health emergencies. We do this by investing in programs that build local capacity, empower communities, and promote equitable access to emergency resources.

We welcome applications from individuals, organizations, and agencies whose goals align with the Edwards and Muzquiz Health Foundation’s Mission, Vision, and Values. Together, we can build a safer, healthier, and more resilient future for all.
