Mission, Vision, and Values

At the Edwards and Muzquiz Health Foundation (EMHF), our mission is to ensure that medically under-served populations and under-resourced communities are equipped to plan, prepare, respond, survive, and recover from natural disasters, crises, and public health emergencies. We believe that readiness is not a privilege—it is a right.

Our vision is to heighten awareness and respect for the first responders, emergency managers, and service organizations who dedicate themselves to supporting communities in need of disaster assistance. These individuals are the backbone of resilience, and we honor their service through every initiative we undertake.

Our values guide everything we do:

  • Excellence – Delivering innovative, high-quality emergency management solutions
  • Respect – Uplifting communities in need while honoring the dedication of first responders
  • Integrity – Upholding the highest ethical standards in all decisions and actions
  • Compassion – Caring deeply and consistently for those who need it most
